SUMMARY:Writing Workshop: Won't You Celebrate With Me?
DESCRIPTION:This workshop invites you to come celebrate our creativity\, goodness and resistance to the ways our class system has tried to kill us-and failed. Through reading and writing\, we will center the stories of Indigenous people and people of color who are and have been poor and working class. Because all of us have been hurt by the roles our society has pushed us into\, this workshop is for everyone. This workshop is led by Jna Shelomith\, who found poetry at the intersection of Arabic (a language was created to write down sacred poetry) and Riot Grrrrl (created for punk rock feminist expression). \nThis is an online program offered remotely using Zoom communication software. You must register in advance for this program. After registering\, you will receive an automated confirmation email. A week before the program\, you will receive another email with information about joining the meeting. \nSponsored by More Than a Single Story. \nREGISTER HERE \nThis program is funded by Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
