In this workshop, we will use guided creative writing exercises to invent life “recipes” such as “How to Live a Life Worth Telling” or “How to Forgive Your Haters.” The workshop is part conversation, part writing and part sharing. All levels of writing and life experience welcomed. Bring a notebook and pencil or laptop and a good sense of humor (because the facilitator has a wacky sense of humor). Participants are encouraged to create recipes in any language(s).
Led by Saymoukda Duangphouxay Vongsay, an award-winning Lao writer and author of the children’s book “When Everything was Everything” who is best known for her award-winning play, “Kung Fu Zombies vs. Cannibals.”
In collaboration with Hennepin County Libraries. Funded by Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
