Amelia Colwell is a writer working on her speculative memoir, who is also a mentee of Carolyn’s. Amelia has published her work in The Iowa Review, the Red Wing Arts Poet Artist Collaboration, the Iowa Writes Project, and Scarlet (forthcoming). She wrote and performed an episode of Out Cold: A Spooky Anthology Series, a horror podcast, and was a cast member in the Listen to Your Mother – Twin Cities storytelling show. She is a Minnesota State Arts Board grant recipient and works as a teaching artist for the Loft Literary Center. Amelia has worked with a number of community-based organizations over the last 19 years. She has specialized in resource development, programming, and fundraising and enjoys matchmaking between community needs and people who feel passionate about giving. For More Than a Single Story, she aims to connect the organization with resource opportunities.
