April Gibson is a poet, essayist, educator and author of the chapbook Automation from Willow Books. Her work has been published in Literary Mama, Pluck!, Origins, Naugatuck River Review, and elsewhere. She has received a Loft Mentor Series Award in Poetry as well as a residency from the Vermont Studio Center.
She is a fellow of The Watering Hole, a Callaloo fellow, and a VONA alum. April holds an MFA in Creative Writing and teaches English and Creative Writing at nonprofits, correctional facilities, and universities. She is currently at work on her first full-length poetry collection.
