Art Coulson is a writer of Cherokee, English and Dutch descent. Art grew up all over the world, attending 14 schools on three continents before he graduated from high school. The 2023 McKnight Fellow in Children’s Literature, Art is the author of 20 books, graphic novels and plays, including All the Stars in the Sky (2025), Chasing Bigfoot (2022) and Look, Grandma! Ni, Elisi! (2021), which was featured on Reading Rainbow Live. Art is a teaching artist at All My Relations Arts and the Loft Literary Center. Art splits his time between his house in the Twin Cities and his cabin in the Northwoods of Wisconsin.
